Question about Nintendo DSi Black Console
My Dsi works completely fine, and the screen physically is flawless when it's turned off; there are no cracks you can touch.
However, the screen seems to be cracked underneath. There is no visible crack in the glass/plastic; it hasn't been dropped or anything, and was working fine the other day.
It's split diagonally; the right has white lines over it but I can still somewhat read the text. There's a large, black shaped spot near the bottom, which is filled with some white holes.
So I was just wondering; is the Dsi completely screwed or can it be repaired? Is there any fix I could do at home, could I send it in, or should I just buy a new one?
I've had it since April, so only 2 months & it's still covered by warranty, but I was told that warranty does NOT cover "cosmetic damages".
The volume works, I can touch the screens, listen to music, and it can perform all the regular functions, but it's difficult to play games because everything's filtered through the lines and obscured by the black spot.
It can be repaired, however it can not be rpaired at home. If you were to send it in it would cost you about the same to buy a used one because this is what Nintendo would consider cosmetic damage. They don't tell you that the screens are one of the first things to break.
