Hello Friend, It's easy to replace the pump on your machine. First, remove the two screws that hold control panel in place and tilt back exposing the two metal clips that hold the cabinet in place. You will see some wires plugged into the cabinet, just unplug them. There are two clips, one on each side. Just pop these clips off and lift cabinet slightly from back and tilt forward. At this point you will be able to completely remove the cabinet. Once you have cabinet removed just set it aside. Now, you can easily remove the pump by snapping off the two spring clips. The pump will slide right off the motor shaft. Happy to help, Tim.

I have a Kitchen Aid 2 drawer dishwasher and its about 2 years old. My problem is the top drawer will not drain during wash cycle. The bottom drawer drains fine. model number KUDD03DTSS 10

You may have clogged pump to the drawer. open drawer, lay on your back under the dish drawer, removed the black cover (3 screws) remove 2 screws to the pump and allow the water to drain out into a bucket or bowl. make sure the pump can turn easy. Reassemble and test unit again. If fails, replace pump.
I hope this helps, good luck

user manual.
troubleshooting advice.
Washing-machine-repairs - The washing-machine fills with water but does not start the washing cycle

1. The water level sensor or float switch may be faulty. If the unit does not sense that the water is at the right level nothing will happen.

2. When the water filling rate appears very slow, the inlet water filters may be clogged. Although not that common the inlet solenoid valve can jam and only partially lift.
3. The cycle timer or program circuit board may be faulty
Shows how it should operate.
There is a thermal switch inside the pump and this corrodes even after a year. If the filter is blocked the the pump has to work harder and so heats up (a lot). This switch is prone to staying open once it trips out.

Isolate machine from mains and water supply.
Empty machine with drain hose and bucket at floor level.
Clean Filter out.
Turn machine on its side.
Remove electrical connections from pump.
Remove 3 screws holding pump (small leakage so get a towel).
Remove PUMP from machine. (be observant now)
Remove plastic cover over coil on pump.(its easy)
Thermal switch is soldered between 2 of the now 3 visible terminals. about 7mm x 15mm x 2mm in size
Remove small insulating cover and bend switch up about 30 degrees then flick with fingernail and blow out the dust or rust.
This resets the switch (horray)
Replace insulation on switch and bend back into position gently.
Replace cover over the coil.
Turn pump by hand (resistance should be like pushing 2 small/ medium size magnets together the wrong way)

Return pump to machine and reconnect pumps electrical connections. 2
Reconnect machine to mains (water and electric and waste)
Turn on machine while holding START and SKIP BUTTONS at the SAME TIME.
Leave it off for five mins then turn off and turn on again.
If it does not work straight away RESET again and Repeat as above.

The water in the tub is only kept there because one end of the outlet hose is higher than the tub and the job of the pump is to push the water up the hose and out. If the outlet hose is lower than the tub, all the water inside will just flow out, the pump does not hold the water in the machine it only assists in its removal. If you remove the pump from the machine altogether then the water will just flow onto the floor but if you disconnect the pump from the wiring circuit it will just mean you have no mechanical way of emptying the tub. However if you lower the hose to the ground then by the force of gravity the water will flow out. Just one other point, the hose should come out of the machine and rise up the back of the cabinet then loop down again where it fits into a stand pipe or is connected to a waste pipe, if however the end of the hose is lower than the tub you will get a siphoning effect happen after the first pump out in which case the water from the machine will just empty on its own without the aid of the pump. Kitchen aid washing machine model #5850gq1,water leak

Well it depends on where the leak is coming from. If it's at the bottom its probably the pump. If its at the top it'll probably be the valve.. although this is much less likely.

My Kitchen Aid KUDI01FLBL3 is not cleaning my

Most likely there is debris at the pump impeller. This model has a problem with debris and grease accumulation at the pump inlet. I have no idea how it gets past the screen but it does. Remove the transfer tube on the back wall, the lower sprayer, and screen assembly. Clean out the debris and reverse installation.

Motor coupling

Pull the front cabinet off. The pump and motor need to be removed. The pump need not be completely removed, just push aside. Both the pump and motor are held on by simple snap clips.

The coupling must be carefully aligned when reinstalled. Be careful that the coupling pins line up when the motor is reinstalled.
