Question about Toshiba 42HL196 42 in. LCD HDTV
Our Toshiba 42HL196 TV refuses to turn on. The red LED light at the bottom flashes three times repeatedly. In the operating guide it says this means the TV is rebooting, and to wait a few seconds for it to come up. It's been like this for several hours. We've tried unplugging the TV, waiting a while, and plugging it back in, but the LED just goes back to blinking. Is there anything else to try?

If the tv doesn't reset after being unplugged awhile, there's an internal problem, and the unit will have to be serviced. Make sure the cable input isn't loose, and that the cable cord is good. Aside from that, there's not much you can do. Some cities have mobile TV repairmen that will service the unit in your home, and it's much more convenient. Look in your Yellow Pages under TV Repair.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
