I can't find my manual, but it seems like ther was a sticker attached that told what to do when the battery wouldn't charge.

HI, this is just a bad cell. the battery cell only has a set amount of physical charges(6000hrs). when this limit is reached, the cell will not be able to hold a charge again. The best action is to contact the nearest service depot or, try contacting the manufacturers accessories department for a new cell. this will fix the issue.

This would indicate a failed battery or memory loss effect on the charge area of the battery. Replacing the battery should solve the problem.

Why does my tom tom keep going the shut down page every 10 seconds I have pressed reset but makes no difference I ride bmw r1200rt

One possible cause is that your battery is low or the battery can no longer hold a (good) charge. In this case, the TomTom is shutting down because there's not enough battery to keep it running, even though it is plugged into a power source.

To determine if the battery is the cause, try to charge the TomTom battery .... using a (USB) connection to your computer, or a direct power source (i.e. while the TomTom is not being used). Let it charge for a few hours until the batter charge indicator shows that it is fully charged (or just leave it charging overnight).
Then, unplug the TomTom from the "charger" and power it up. If the TomTom (battery) doesn't hold a (good) charge, the device will shut down within a few minutes, e.g. 10 mins or much less.
When you (then) plug the device into a power source, and it doesn't stay on (i.e. it keeps shutting down after 10 seconds), you can safely conclude that the battery is the cause of your problem.

Power plug on chair losing power

The problem may be that the power cord's internals were broken by keeping the wire plugged into the chair at a bad angle That damaged the connection. If this is the case, you may need to purchase a new power cord.

Try shopping online for a replacement or calling the manufacturer.

Even when my gps is turned off it loses battery power. How can I get it to stay charged?

You could hard wire the car power adapter for your gps to a Constant 12 volt wire and ground to prevent your gps from losing it's charge. Else you will need to plug in the car charger for your gps and charge the battery a bit before you can use it.

Just tried turning i phone on after a couple of months of not using it but no joy. Doesnt even register its charging. Help

Hello teresadonach!

Your iPhone is probably fine! When a device using a battery isn't used for an extended period of time, the battery still loses its charge. More than likely, the battery is completely drained and will require you to have it plugged in for 15 to 30 minutes before even getting a charge indication. The time varies depending on device.

Keep it plugged in for about 2 hours and check back! As long as it was working fine when you stopped using it, it should power on!

Please remember to rate if this was helpful!

When I turn on my laptop the power lights up and shuts off after a few seconds

either a bad battery, or charge port. even if the battery was fully charged it will still keep the light on, try this. plug it in, and power it on, then remove the battery completly, the computer should stay on, as its running off the plug power cord. if this port is a bad one the pc will shut off immeadatly. and if it stays running then it will be the battery.

Mazda 2004 Miata automotive battery, I only use car once a month, why does the battery go dead?

You may have a light that stays on of a very minor short. You have to put an amp meter on the battery cable and then start pulling fuses until it reads no draw.

It can be a real pain to troubleshoot. Or use a battery keeper to maintain charge when you are not using it.

Low battery, wont' charge in car

I pushed the reset button, on the side, during the brief moment that it stays powered up. Now it is staying on with the wall plug.
I'll let that stay on for a while and then try to keep charging it with it turned off.

Battery Depleted

Are you able to run the laptop with no battery installed but the power cable plugged in? If not, there's a good chance your power jack on your laptop has broken (or almost broken) and will need to be replaced or the power adapter isn't working.

If it does run, your battery is probably bad and can't take any charge. It will need to be replaced.
