My lexmark3030 all in one will not scan. says

My lexmark3030 all in one will not scan. says AIOC exe is not responding. My system is Vista 34 bit

First step. Please make sure you are using one of the Vista drivers on the Lexmark website. www.lexmark.com.

Most often the problem is caused by using the driver for XP on a Vista system.

I tryed to scan a paper. When I went to the lexmark imaging center and pressed scan it says, "Preparing lexmark all-in-one-center for first use, Searching for applications" then it goes to AIOC...


You have to uninstall the printer, go to lexmark site and download the most current driver (it's free), then reinstall your printer. make sure you restart your computer before you download new driver.

I suggest you use the driver from the Lexmark website. You may need to uninstall the existing Lexmark X1270 driver first before installing the new one (instructions on how to uninstall the Lexmark software available at http://bit.ly/8ZH59T). Then, check if your Vista and Windows 7 are running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Download the compatible driver for your operating system:

You can try running the software again to repair any possible corrupted files. If this doesn't help, unplug the printer from the computer then uninstall by following the instructions on this link: http://bit.ly/c2fYfJ . After rebooting your computer, check if your Vista is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start button > right click on Computer > Properties. Hello. I hope you got it working now. But if the problem is still not resolved, try uninstalling the software properly from the Vista computer by going to Start Menu > Programs > Lexmark Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Restart pc. Then, check if your Vista is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to Start Menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Use this driver from the Lexmark website. SCANNER STALLING, MSG: AIOC is not responding.


Try scannng from the windows photo gallery or microsoft word.It should work.Its a problem with the software provided by your printer vendor.

What is happening is that your Lexmark all-in-one center doesn't think your monitor can handle the program (or something to that effect).
You will NOT have to restart your computer either.
Just restart your Lexmark All-In-One program and you can start scanning.
