The heating coil is gone (burnt out). Remove the back panel and take out the curly wire that circles around and try to find a replacement. It's a cheap repair especially when you do it yourself.

Makecertain that your wiring is not exposed to anything. Be sure to turn the power off to the dryerand check the outlet. Also check to seeif your dryer cord is connected to the dryer right. Usually the outer prongs on the dryer are thehot and in the inner one is the ground.

Dryer turns on, drum moves, but seems to be no heat even though the setting is on for heated dry not air dry. Only 2 months old.

This could be due to a bad heating element or bad controller. I would suggest that if it's only two months old that you contact the store you purchased it from and get a replacement.

You vent is plugged very bad. Disconnect the vent tubing and thoroughly clean it out. It will heat and dry like new afterwards guaranteed. These dryers have sensors that shut the burner off if the exhaust is not venting properly. Once its cleared out it will run perfectly again

HOW TO FIX A NO HEAT ON A GE ELECTRIC DRYER OVER 10 YEAR OLD

Either one of 2 ways to get to the thermostat on a GE dryer.....

depending on your model, you will have an access point on the back of the dryer to get to the heating element which has attached to it, the thermostat.

If there isn't an access point on the rear of the unit, open the front door of the dryer and remove the 2 screws in the top of the door opening. Using a small prybar, slightly apply pressure prying up the lid. On the inside of the face of the dryer in the corners will be 2 more screws, remove those and pull the face of the dryer outwards to you to about a 45 degree angle. From there, you will be able to lift off the face. Be cautious to unplug the wires for the door switch before pulling the face all the way out. There isn't much to a 10 yr old dryer, just take your time, study the parts and put it back just as you took it apart. For the replacement thermostat or heating element look at

Good luck and let me know if there is any more trouble I can help with.

You may have a bad timer: Also, there may be a separate thermal fuse for the motor, usually an inch long white plastic one attached to the blower housing.
