Sleep Timer Mode

The Sleep Timer mode is an energy-saving feature that enables you to set a time for the monitor to
power on and off at the same time every day. This also extends the life of the backlight bulbs in the
monitor. The Sleep Timer has five settings:
? Set Current Time
? Set Sleep Time
? Set On Time
? Timer: On/Off
? Sleep Now

To set the timer:
1. Press the Menu button on the monitor front panel to display the OSD Menu.
2. Scroll down and highlight Management.
3. Press the OK button to select Management.
4. Scroll down and highlight and select Sleep Timer > Set Current Time.
NOTE: You must set the current local time before you reset the time for Sleep Time or On Time. Note that the time is displayed in a 24-hour clock format. For example, 1:15 p.m. is displayed as 13 hours 15 minutes. A power failure or loss of power to the monitor will cause the timer to reset to 00:00. If this occurs, you will need to reset the sleep timer mode.

5. Press the OK button once to enter the adjustment mode for hours.
6. Press the - (Minus) or + (Plus) button to adjust the hour.
7. Press the OK button again to enter the time for minutes.
8. Press the - (Minus) or + (Plus) button to adjust the minutes.
9. Press the OK button to lock in the time chosen.
10. After setting the current time, the highlight automatically skips to Set Sleep Time. Repeat steps 6 through 9 to set Sleep Time.
11. If you do not want to set Sleep Time, press the OK button twice, then select Save and Return to exit the menu.
12. After setting Sleep Time, the highlight automatically skips to Set On Time. Repeat steps 6 through 9 to set On Time.
13. Set the Timer mode to On to activate the Sleep Timer settings.
14. When you are finished, select Save and Return to exit the menu.

The fifth selection, Sleep Now, turns the monitor backlights off immediately and stays in sleep mode
until the next On Time activates or a monitor button is pressed.

How do I configure F key for sleep mode?

To configure the F key on your keyboard to put your computer into sleep mode, you will need to access the BIOS settings on your computer. Here's how to do it:
  1. Restart your computer and as it starts up, press the key that opens the BIOS settings (usually the "Delete" key, the "F2" key, or the "F10" key).
  2. Once in the BIOS settings, navigate to the "Power Management" or "Power" section.
  3. In the Power Management or Power section, look for an option that allows you to configure the function keys. This option may be called "Function Key Behavior" or something similar.
  4. Set the option for the F key you want to use for sleep mode to "Sleep" or "Suspend" (the exact wording may vary depending on your BIOS).
  5. Save your changes and exit the BIOS settings.
Now, when you press the F key that you configured for sleep mode, your computer should go into sleep mode. Keep in mind that the exact steps to configure the function keys in the BIOS may vary depending on your computer's make and model.

I cant enter sleep mode on my acer aspire one zg5. How do i fix?

Your settings in power mode have changed. Open up display and go to the screen saver tab (win 7) you will see the power savings option at the bottom. Go into that and change what the buttons do. You will have 3 situations to change. What happens when i close the lid, power button and sleep mode. Chances are you gave everything set to do nothing

Prostart 6 button in sleep mode

Sleep mode is a convenient power-saving feature used on both laptops and desktop computers. This feature powers down hard disks, monitors, wireless devices and any other power-consuming peripherals without turning the unit completely off and necessitating a reboot. Sleep mode can prevent battery drain if using a laptop or mobile device while away from the power supply. This mode is useful when quick access to a computer is needed, but can be irritating if the sleep mode takes a long time to come back from. It is simple to turn sleep mode off, based on the operating system being used.

Go to the "Start" button, then click on "Control Panel." In the control panel screen, click "System and Maintenance," then click on "Power Options." This brings you to the "Select a power plan" page. From the "Select a power plan" page, select the option that says "Change plan settings." This changes the settings on the currently selected plan. Select the "Change advanced power settings" option. Click "Sleep" and then click on "Sleep After" to expand it. If using a laptop or mobile PC, click "On battery" and "Plugged in," then select the "Never" option. This turns off sleep mode for both battery and AC use. If you are using a desktop computer, click "Setting," click the arrow and then click "Never" to turn off sleep mode. Click "OK," then click "Save changes" to save the modification. b> Turning Off Sleep Mode - Mac OS b> Click on the Apple logo at the upper left corner of the screen to open the menu and select the "System Preferences" option. From the "System Preferences" screen, click on "Energy Saver." If you are using a desktop, select "Power Adapter" in the top drop-down menu. In the second drop-down menu, select "Custom." Highlight the "Sleep" tab, then adjust the top slider to the far right, marked "Never." I f you wish the display to stay on, adjust the bottom slider to "Never." Click the red button on the upper left side of the "Energy Saver" screen. If you are using a mobile product or laptop, follow step 2 and select "Battery" from the top drop-down menu. Repeat step 3 to change the settings for battery use. Hope this helps.

Monitor goes into Sleep Mode immediatly upon turning on computer

Ok. I think "sleep mode" means that your monitor might not have a tight connection. Tighten all connections. Also, push the power button on your tower. When you gegt back, go to screensaver- power settings- and from there you can adjust.
