It sounds like its power off and reseting it's self. Might be a bad logic bd or power supply. If you like you can call in and I can give you free technical support on the unit. We carry all parts for the 4247's. refurbished with a 30/day warranty. I can take your as an exchange for the good one at a reasonable price. Please let me know I can be reached at 708-597-4222 X240 or email rcardenas@mrp.to.

Printer will not print the ink packages are new but the indicator on print que shows (?) on both black and color indicators. the que shows printer 1 to 3 % progress then stops. thank you for your help

It could be that the print spooler service on your computer has stopped. - Browse to Start -> Run... and type in "NET STOP SPOOLER" (this will stop the print spooler service)

- type in "NET START SPOOLER" (this will restart the print spooler service)
Try to print again.

Not printing in the middle of the page, suspect a paper jam. How to get whatever is in the middle out!! when you open the front door - not sure what screws to take out.

a paper jam will not stop this from printing only in the middle? make sure it is the same for all colors , not printing in the middle. if all colors are not printing in the middle. you may need your mc cleaned. **** glass cleaned, pcu replaced, transfer belt unit replaced. also make sure the problem occurs from memory as well as copies, you can ruleout hdd and scanner then.

I have (4) documents to print, but it won't print. It says: 4 document(s) pending owner

To cancel a print job in Windows you can use one of the following two methods:

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB WITH THE PROGRESS METER:
When you send a print job to the printer, the Status Monitor will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Another printer icon for the PROGRESS METER will also appear in the taskbar while printing is taking place. This PROGRESS METER is there so you can manage print priorities or cancel print jobs.

1. Highlight the print job in the PROGRESS METER box.
2. Click on DOCUMENT and CANCEL, or, right click on the job name and left click CANCEL or DELETE.
3. Confirm cancelling the print job.

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB FROM THE PRINTERS WINDOW:
If no PROGRESS METER appears, you can access the document queue in this fashion:

1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS (START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS and FAXES in Windows XP).
2. Right click on your Epson printer name, left click PURGE PRINT JOBS (98,ME), or CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS (2000,XP). (Or, double-click on the printer name to see and modify the status of documents in queue.)
3. Confirm cancelling all documents.

Keep in mind that once information has been sent to the printer it resides in the spooling folders within Windows. It may a while for printing to stop as this data clears the system.

If the printer continues to print (ie multiple copies of a cancelled job, or garbled print) remove the rest of the paper from the printer and allow it to run out. Once an "out of paper" type error appears on your screen, cancel the documents. Once all print job information has deleted, reload the paper and press the paper feed button once to clear the red light and return the printer to a ready state.

My print spooler queu says that my document is printing but the document never prints

Go to Settings or Control Panel and select Printers - double click the icon. Here you will find the Print Queue. Delete all jobs in the Print Queue (the first one is probably the problem child and is stopping any others from progressing).

This will free up the Print Queue which should now be ready to accept new Print jobs.

Note: The Spooler is an area where Print Jobs are stored ready for Printing and as long as the previous print has finished then the next job in the Spooler will progress to be printed onto paper.

Good luck.

hi!

Try to cancel your document in the printers menu even if you restart the pc or the printers memory stores the previous command.

1.The idea is that printers has its own memory unless you cancel the document that you print.

e-mail me at wendel_tenebroso@yahoo.com if the problem persist
