Your motherboard has support for AGP 8x so you can install graphic cards compliant to this standard

My n1996 onboard display card doesnt displsy any more, can i use an another AGP CARD

Your board has S3 graphics and if you would like to try and find drivers for that this is MSI's link;
I don't know what version of windows you are running and/or what the exact problem is with your graphics however, to answer your question, Your card will accept AGP 8X, 4X cards and, as long as you have an operational slot open, yes you can use AGP cards. If you have upgraded to Windows 7, you can find cards that have Windows 7 support.

For adding an additional graphics card

Your board only supports AGP 4x graphic cards. You should be able to use any AGP 4x card or even some AGP 8x cards. Some of the 8x cards are backwards compatible but will run at the slower 4x speed. You can try places like or to see what they have available. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Video card

The MSI KT4V motherboard is an AGP board supporting 4x/8x AGP. You cannot use a newer PCI-Express Video Card, however an Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 either PCI or AGP will run just fine in it. The NVidia FX 5500 doesn't come in PCI-E. Additionally The ATI Radeon 9550 doesn't come PCI-E so you should be safe with AGP versions of either. I should note however, that you'll get better performance out of the ATI Radeon 9550 as opposed to the NVidia FX 5500.

I hope this answers your question,

MSI motherboard model 6734 AGP interface

Looks like your motherboard is a MSI KM4AM-L detailed here:

If so, then it has an AGP slot which will run at 4x and 8x.

Remember to check the BIOS settings after you install it to make sure it is set to 8x, if that is what your card will take.
