Question about Electronics - Others
My Samsung HT-TX75 DVD flashes a message "PROTECTION...GOOD BYE" then shuts off. What is wrong with the unit?
First thing to do is disconnect all your speakers at the back of the receiver, then turn it back on. If it does not go into protection, post a comment and I can walk you thru troubleshooting. If it still goes into protection, your unit needs to be serviced. Hope this helps

Hey Smarthome, i didnt post the above problem but mine is the same, so was hoping you could help?
I have the Samsung HT-TX35r system, has worked perfect for the last 16 months until only recently started turning off (after displaying the protection message)
Now this message only appears to be displayed when the system is in use, i have had the system reamin on for 24hours plus, but this is only when i remove all the speakers and it is not ouputing any sound, nor is it interacting with any of the functions, ie its not on radio, nor is a dvd player or my ps3 running.
Ive tried a number of different variables but its as soon as i starting using it as id like to, its only then does it turn off?
Does that all make sense?
Thanks in advance
