This might be a stupid answer, or question...is there a clip that goes around the float needle assemble on this carb...on yamaha when I worked on them they have a small clip that suppose to pull, push the fload needle valve...and which carb is this your talking about..
wouldn't that be something if there was water in the air filter box, that would splash into the carb intake boot...
This is the way the vent tubes could affect the gas flow...
Add a CommentFloat System Vents Float system vents are necessary to ensure a smooth flow of fuel through the carburetor. The externally vented float bowl has its vent tubes routed to atmosphere so that atmospheric pressure can maintain pressure on the fuel inside the float bowl. Vent tube routing is critical. Any change in the stock routing of the tubes may pinch the tubes. Improperly routed tubes may also be exposed to low pressure when the motorcycle is in motion, which could change the pressure in the float bowl and alter fuel delivery.
checked vent tube and hose no resriciions

SOURCE: Air box and crank case fuel flooding problem
Well there only one way the fuel can get into the crankcase and that's from the fuel tank. The petcock must be draining and the float needles are not stopping the fuel flow. Do you have a prime position on the petcock? If so do not run the bike in the position. Try topping the tank off with gas and letting it sit for a while and see is the gas has gone down and then check the crankcase and see if there's fuel in it again. i still say its got to be your petcock.

SOURCE: kdx 200 clutch not engaging properly
The clutch in your bike is a wet clutch. There is a lot of hyrdostatic friction even when the clutch is released completely. I think a large factor is the type, age and condition of oil. Perhaps something as simple as an oil change would help.
SOURCE: 1998 kdx oil
Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives.
Use Two Stroke ENGINE oil in the pump. If not doing an automatic oil pump the mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of two stroke ENGINE oil to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.

have u checked the float hight on the carburator? also make sure ur choke curcuit i clean and free of dirt
SOURCE: I have a 2003 kx
if your still fouling plugs then you still need to go with smaller # on main jet...are you spooging allot out of pipe and muffler? then your to rich still, smaller jet size!!!! 32:1 is a good mix ratio
