Hi,this happened on my x5 before when I forgot to disconnect the battery terminal before disconnecting the power source from the airbag while replacing the window regulator.As long as you don't have any engine fault codes,try to find a local europian car shop and be sure to tell them that you just want it reset an cleared that way you will not be charged for diagnostic.They may charged you around 20 dollars more or less which is better than going to stealership
The administrator password is removed very easyly, first you should download the ER COMMANDER then make a bootable cd of this software, after that when you start the computer give a first priority to your CD/RW or DVD/RW etc. then automatically ER COMMANDER will run and show you the screen like windows xp looks, then you have to go to start button and click the users, and change that your administrator password.
