Using iTunes on your computer you can either Select all the songs within the iPod and delete them or a more simple way or erasing the iPod is to restore in iTunes. This will also provide any software updates to your iPod should they be needed. Also you can view a free users manual for your iPod at the following URL. Simply copy and paste it into your browser address bar.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Reformat the drive, by plugging into pc, check my computer then mass storage, right click, and select format. Do this, but be warned that formatting will erase ALL data.

You can try formatting it or erasing all the songs manually - just plug your player in, go to 'my computer,' and click on your device. Then you can erase your songs manually. Hope this helps!

Help!!!!!

Insignia mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

Also slight change your mp3 files are not "tagged" by whatever cd ripper or encoder or place you bought or downloaded them from.

Sansa having problem with sync

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Cant erase song

Is the song you are trying to erase the only song on the partition? If so, create a new song then try to erase.
