Question about Compaq Armada 100S Notebook
When it is first turned on the 'Compaq' logo comes on but then the screen image goes dark. Occasionally the Windows logo flutters on and off briefly but otherwise all is dark - is there a setting or function to reset the contrast/resolution or is it dead? Thanks
WELL I WOULD LIK TO SUGGEST U TO PLEASE RE-INSTALL YOUR GRAPHIC CARD'S DRIVER AND HAVE A LOOK.

it is struggling to find the boot.ini, you can try pressing F8 when it's booting up and then you should get into safe mode, when in select last known good configuration and then press enter for a reboot.
If you still cannot get into windows you will need to perform a system repair, borrow a friends XP disc, but use the key code normally on the underneath of notebooks of your own system if you have one, then set your cdrom as first boot device in the bios (F2 or Del on boot up) and then insert the disc, then press enter to boot from cdrom and press R for repair when prompted.
