Question about Belkin Computers & Internet
The most usual problem for wireless connection is the speed differential. What is the rating on each device? Your wireless card and the belkin router should be rated as 'B' or 'G'
G is rated at 54 MBPS and B is rated at 11MBPS. a 'B' rated wireless card can connect to a 'G' rated router but only if the router can be configured to allow clients at a lower speed. Also the wirless security protocols have changed from B to G also creating a connection gap. if a 'B' was designed before certain protocols were in use, this can cause problems as well.
