Question about Tappan TGF303BW Gas Range
If the model number you have this posted under is correct, your range (as well as most all modern ranges) does not have a pilot light. The range uses spark type igniters that are controlled by a spark module for the surface burners and a glow bar type igniter for the oven. The gas flow is controlled by a gas pressure regulator through a safety valve. You can view the burner lay-out for a Tappan range at the following link:
If the link does not work, go to searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number. Look under the "Burner" heading to view your range configuration. The spark module is listed a item 8, the surface igniters are listed as item 11A and the oven igniter is listed as item 19. If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
