Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
My wife just purchased an eMachine W3623 with Vista Home Basic at Walmart last month.
eMachines W3623 Desktop PC w/ 17" LCD Monitor, Intel Pentium 4 processor 641 with Hyper-Threading technology
Agreed with the above Vista does **** and there are routers and other equipment thats not compatible with Vista, if this is the case then You must download updated drivers from the Netgear Site, they update drivers on occasion but not so much since Windows 7 is out and alot better. My advice, upgrade to 7 and Your worries will be over, Good Luck

Ok i guess this is a noob place so ill just let you know, vista doesnt have a network compatability problem, the protocols that are used in most cases are tcp/ipv4, this is the standard for as long as i have been around, vista has and runs this protocol, it also has the tcp/ipv5 which is the new one that a lot of equipment is not compatable with yet.

Well the router is not going to work because of the fact that the router is not compatible with vista
