Its telling you a brake light bulb is burnt out.

If you find that all the rear brake bulbs are working...the problem is the sensor, located in the trunk, left side, behind the left side plastic wall (Removeable). It is a 2 X 2 cream colored box. Dealer only part. $80-$100 each. Have known 6 other Camry's to have a bad sensor box. Common problem.

On My 1998 Toyota Camy when the car is on my brakes lights wont go off but if the car its off the brake light work fine why??

These Toyotas had daytime running lights. The headlights and the taillights turn on when you start the car. If you press the brake pedal, the rear lights (and the brake light in the rear window) should come on brighter.

I have never heard of the brake light staying on (The brighter filament in the two-filament bulb). Hope this helps.

Brake lights staying on when car is turned off 1990 geo prism

Check the adjustment on the brake light switch which is mounted to the brake pedal lever assembly. Chances are is that it is out of adjustment and needs to be replaced.you can manually depress the plunger on the switch(as if your foot was off of the pedal) to see if the lights turn off. When your foot is off the brake pedal it is supposed to depress the plunger on the switch causing an open circuit (it won't allow voltage to pass through to the brake lights).

Where is the break switch located?

If you mean the switch that activates the brake lights it should be positioned so that when the brake pedal is depressed slightly it will make contact with it -- usually if you look up under the dash while pressing the pedal with your hand you can see it.

No brake light when depressing the brake pedal

Check Fuse, Check brake light switch which is under the dash at the brake pedal. Has two wires going into it check for 12 volts on both wires when pedal is depressed if not on both then replace switch. Check bulbs, and sockets, and wiring.

97 toyota camry brake light is on in my dashboard

Check the brake fluid level and top off to full mark if it still stays on then you have a brake system failure in the hydrolic system front or rear brakes are not working and the light is telling you that.

Interior little car stays on

The bulbs have to be correct also. The third brake light is easy to get the wrong bulb. Also the light module itself could be fauty. It is in the trunk. You could also ignore the light.

1992 toyota camry v6 auto. can't move shifter. car starts and ste

Car must be on and brake pedal depressed to shift. If you have no brake lights then the car doesn't know the pedal is depressed and will not shift out of park. This car has an interlock overide on the shifter console, push it and it will come out of Park. You will need a brake light switch tho.
