I have a 52 inch rca hdtc the model number is R52WH74 i do belive and when u powered it on there was like lines going threw the screen at the top and bottom and the it looked like u was watching a 3d movie at all time i live in jackson Ohio is there and one that can tell me how to fix it myself or how much it will cost to have the t.v fix.?I have spare parts from the same t.v that i can use to fix this one.But i really dnt have a clue what iam doing so if someone can help can they give me step by step directions and tell me what iam looking for thanks brooke.
There most likely an open fuse going to the convergence amps. There are 3 fuses which are located just to the right of the flyback. They don't look like fuses. They are brown and square and are mounted in a row. The middle one is usually open because of bad solder on the flyback pin 11. It is a 400 ma fuse. I'm not sure what the schematic location is but they are easy to find. This is a solder in part. If you replace it make sure to resolder all the flyback pins or it won't last long.
Check your color guns first. Sometimes they go out of alinement from jarring of the TV. Also if your getting lines on the top or bottom of the screen. That is your data lines for video and or color. Check the pods in side if they can be adjusted. It not then your have to have a shop set them with a meter.
