Question about Royal Office Equipment & Supplies
The ''informational flyer'' on this model said that it could be receipt OR journal print (single-head thermal printer). There are two register positions on the key/control lock.
Reg 1 prints a receipt for every transaction, while reg 2 turns the receipt print off and maintains an electronic journal.
What I WANT it to do is print in journal mode while running the machine. There is however no option or tag in the programming features to do this that I can find. Evidently it's either receipt or electronic journal with no in-between.
I find this hard to believe as the machine HAS a journal take-up spool for the paper.
Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Cleaning and alignment is needed to solve these problems. As you can notice, the printer has various gears and small parts on it. Although the alignment for this kind of printer model is too complicated that only an authorized technician is capable of doing it. If you can look for an authorized service center for your cash register on your area then try to contact them. They either render home service or you will have to bring your unit to them.

I don't have this particular cash register, But I took a look at the manual and I recommend the following:
A. Turn the cash register off.
B. Unplug it.
C. Remove the batteries.
D. Wait at least five minutes.
E. Initialize the cash register. This procedure was copied from thwe manual:
In order to operate the cash register properly, you must initialize it before operating for the first time. Follow this
1. Insert the manager (MA) key into the mode switch and turn it to the REG position.
2. Insert the plug of the AC power cord into the AC outlet. The buzzer will sound
IMPORTANT: This operation must be performed without batteries installed.
3. The cash register has now been initialized. The register display will show
"0.00" and then “NO BATTERY”.
If the buzzer does not sound when the plug is inserted, the initialization has not been done
successfully. (This will occur when the voltage is high because you operated the cash register
before starting initialization.) Wait at least one minute after pulling out the plug and insert the plug
F. Download trhe manual from here:
And proceed to program your sales tax (or VAT), departments, clerks, etc.
