Fix the door switch - LG WD-12126RD Front Load Washer / Dryer

If light stays on when fully closed, door switch needs replacement, easily removed. Short term fix, disconnect the switch and tape the two spades together. Warning! Dryer will run even with door open.

Hi, I think you are right about the door switch. You may have a bad switch. If that doesn't fix it the board maybe at fault. Replace the door switch first. Good luck.

You do not need to fix the "buzzer". You need to fix the door switch or the circuit to the door switch.

replace 3 door switches, very cheap fix. bout $2.50 per switch and all you need is a screwdriver.

On my 05 Relay I scratched the oxidation off of the switch heads and the contact plates on the door pillar. Worked for me.
Another fix I've read about is to take out and put back the PSD fuse. Then open and close the doors twice (with power button) for the computer to relearn the positions.

have you checked the all the doors? if the fault is only with 1 door look for the "push" switch in the frame of the door, tp fix remove switch and earth lead going to switch, that should fix it, if all doors the feed to light from doors is defective check for a bad contact in light switch on unit, there should be 3 positions

• one position fully off
• 2nd position turn on manualy ( this over rides the door functions)
• 3rd position door activation mode

The door switches are built in the latches on each of the doors, they are pron to sticking, leaving the security module to beleive the door is open.
The simple fix is to spray a generous amount of WD40 on, in, and around the door latches, then opening and closing the door a few times. I would start with the passenger door as`this is likely the culprit. do the rest of the latches as a prevenitive measure.

check your door switch. Many times a faulty door switch can prevent the spin cycle. When you locate the door switch, take a jumper wire across the connection and advance the timer to spin. If it spins with the jumper wire, you will need a new door switch.
