The light is controlled by a relay on the circuit board. The problem is there are no schematics available and individual parts are not available.

Frigidaire refridge has a double light fixture that stopped working. I have replaced both bulbs and checked the door switch

Ok, have you confirmed beyond a doubt that power is reaching the lite bulb receptacles? If so, then you need to get a hold of a schematic that will show you where it is possible for the power to be interrupted from getting to the bulbs.

If you have one of those refrigerators with control boards it is conceivable that the circuit goes through the board - if the latter is defective you are screwed.

On the attached link it may be possible for you to get the schematic for your unit. Check it out - it worked for me. Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Why Light Bulbs Burn Out So Quickly

The bulb package should have an average life expectancy printed on it. The typical light bulb is good for roughly 900 hours. At 10 hours a day that's three months. At 24 hours a day it's a little more than a month. If you have 25 bulbs in your house burning an average of three hours each day, a bulb will burn out every twelve days, on average. If you compute the average life of your bulbs and discover it's clearly less than the manufacturer's rated life, then you may have: 1-You may have over-voltage in your house. Occasionally this causes more serious problems. You can get a cheap multimeter at Radio Shack. If the voltage is 125V or higher, talk to the power company about it. 7 or 8 extra volts on a 120V line will cut the bulb life expectancy in half. If it's a slight over-voltage, you can buy special 125V or 130V bulbs, though sometimes they're hard to find.
2-Too high a wattage bulb in too small an enclosed fixture (such as a globe), the heat can't get out--the bulb burns too hot, leading to short bulb life.
3-Recessed lighting fixtures often get covered by attic insulation. This blocks the intended ventilation method--heat can build up around the bulb, causing short bulb life.
4-A vibration problem. Such as, bulbs under a heavily used stairway, on or near an out of balance bathroom or ceiling fan, or near a door that gets slammed, or kids upstairs jumping, etc. You can buy special shock resistant, also called "rough service" bulbs, for this situation, or try one of the new compact screw-in fluorescent bulbs.
Flickering. Intermittent electrical contact can cause flickering. It's like turning the light on-and-off constantly, and will reduce bulb life. It can be caused by a bad light socket, or a poor electrical connection somewhere in the wires leading to the light (most likely right at the fixture). Flickering can cause the bad connection to get hot and possibly start a fire. If you don't locate the cause of the flickering and it affects all or many lights, you could have a bad neutral connection -- a dangerous situation. Another indication of a neutral problem; as larger appliances (washing machines/dish washers) cycle, lights will get quite noticeably brighter or dimmer (minor changes in intensity are normal). If you suspect this problem have either the electric company or an electrician check it out.

Why wont ceiling lights work after blown fuse when all other sockets/lights in the room work?

If turning on the lights caused such a huge surge of power that it flipped the breaker, it could have been enough current to fry the hot wire (the one electricity flows into the fixture from) leading from the source to the fixture, or to blow the contact point where it connects to the fixture. This is even more likely if the fixture is old and doesn't have a green grounding wire to dissipate excess current, or if your wiring is prone to weakening from age or animals chewing on it.

If this is the case, you should flip the breaker to the off position and call an electrician immediately, since the hot wire will still be live up to the point of the break. A live wire floating around in your ceiling is a major (and I mean major) fire hazard.

Side lights do not come on when you press the red switch

If this is a new installation, it may be that the battery just needs to be charged. Leave the power on for a while, then re-test.
If it is an existing exit light check the bulbs. If the bulbs are OK, the next suspect is the battery. Batteries Plus stores usually carry replacement batteries for various exit lights.
The only other culpret is the circuit board.
Usually the same make and model exit light are installed in the same building. Try swapping the suspect parts with known to be good bulbs and batteries from another fixture if you have one.

O2 Dodge Dakota Brake lights wont work but bulbs r good.

If the bulbs are good I would suspect the Brake light switch.

Brake Light Switch: Testing and Inspection
The brake lamp switch can be tested with an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter is used to check continuity between the pin terminals.
Switch Circuit Identification
- Terminals 1 and 2: brake lamp circuit
- Terminals 3 and 4: RWAL/ABS module and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) circuit
- Terminals 5 and 6: speed control circuit
Switch Continuity Test
NOTE: Disconnect switch harness before testing switch continuity.
With switch plunger extended, attach test leads to pins 1 and 2. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 3 and 4. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 5 and 6. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.

2004 Pontiac Montana Brake Lights, Pwr Window and Cruise all Quit

The same thing happened to my 2002 Montana minus the power window problem.

The brake lights and the cruise control are somehow tied in together.

I went to the scrapyard and ripped off a couple circuit boards from an old Lumina ($25 for the set) since there were no Montanas on site.

The problem seems to be when one brakelight goes the bulk of the current transfers to the other light and will blow it too.

Anyways you said you tried replacing the circuit boards and it did not work so sorry I could not be of more help.

High-low beams not working

Check for headlight relay and fuse. Some cars have separate circuits for head light flasher and normal high/low beam. From your description, I would suspect a bad connection to/from relay or relay itself.

Rear parking lights dont work 2001 GMC sierra

It would then be a bad ground. Start at the bulb fixtures cleaning and refastening; look for cracked broken wires as you go. A little multimeter will help.

Main light on will not come on when door is opened/closed

For some reason, the bulbs I tested that worked somehow didn't work correctly when inserted into the door opener. We opened another set of bulbs we purchased and what do you know, the light now works. I don't fully understand as the other bulbs did work just not in the garage door opener.
