Why is my iPhone not hanging up after a call?

SOURCE: my apple iphone has a hang up problem..

just press the on/off button as well as the home button simultaneously for about 10 secs.

This will turn your phone off.

Then start it again normally..

press the home keys and power button simultaneously for about 5 secs... it should reboot. :-)

try this simple steps to recover your iphone:

-- Turn off your iPhone by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button for about five seconds and then sliding the red slider.
-- If your iPhone is already off, there's no need to turn it on and then off again.
-- Once it's turned off, press and hold the "Home" button and plug the iPhone into your Mac or PC.
-- Keep holding the "Home" button until you see a yellow triangle and text which says "Please Connect to iTunes".
-- New iPhones will show a dock cable next to the iTunes icon.
-- You can now release the button.

-- Open iTunes (if it's not already open) and you will be told that "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode".
-- Click "OK" and you will be taken to the iPhone pane. --
-- Click restore and you're done.

Depending on the extent of your iPhone's ills, it may take some time to do a full restore. Once you're done, however, you should again have a perfectly working iPhone.

Did you check to make sure that the "mute" switch on the left side of the iPhone is turned off (if you see an orange dot, it means mute is turned on). It may not be vibrating either because in main Settings - Sound - you haven't turned on "Vibrate" when on Mute.

I thought my iPhone was broken until someone pointed out this to me.

After downloading the software the iphone became hang and after I restart still hang with Apple logo on screen.
