SOURCE: my Samsung DLP tv Model HLP6163w/xaa shuts down , the two green and timer red ligts fliker

l need some information here:

Does it work at all or fail upon trying to turn it on?

When was Lamp replaced last and have you inspected the lamp?

Have you or do you hear any high pitched whine or grinding sound or even a loud fan like sound?

This is usually located on the light engine if you go to the link below and zoom in on the picture you can see it right above the ballast. It will be a small circle about the size of a quarter with a small board on top.

Tv works fine for 30mins up to 3hrs then shuts down! Ive replaced cooling fans but trying to find location and part# for temperature sensor

My samsung dlp 61inch dont have any power on it.Is there an automatic shut off switch in the back panel? This had happen after I replaced my colorwheel.I dont have a manual for this tv.

did you replace the color wheel yourself? if so, it's a good possibility that something came unplugged or wasn't plugged back in correctly. retrace your steps.

I have a HLP6163X/XAA, it currently has 8 groups of 8 verticle lines on my TV. I just replaced the DLP lamp last night with no changes

I believe the convergance board or DM board will need to be replaced. The calibration is off

Samsung dlp 6163w color wheel

Ours was on the color wheel. I also went to samsungparts.com and entered my tv model number and we could veiw the color wheel. However, the one we needed is back orders . I hope your is not.
