THE EROR CODE IS TO DO WITH THE CHARGE ROLLER SECTION EITHER THE ROLLER IS DIRTY OR THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BUSHINGS LEAKING THE CHARGE.. IF YOU TAKE THE DRUM UNIT OUT AND CLEAN THE ROLLER WITH A BIT OF WARM WATER AND A CLOTH THEN REPLACE IT CHECK THE BUSHINGS AT THE SAME TIME ONCE I T IS STARTED GO INTO THE SP MODE AND DO A ID SENSOR INITIALISATION AND CHECK THE READINGS IN PROCESS CONTROL..IF THIS IS A BIT FAR FOR YOU TRY THIS.. PRESS THE YELLOW CANCEL BUTTON AT TOP OF NUMBER PAD THEN ENTER 107 THEN HOLD DOWN THE RED CANCEL BUTTON {YOU NEED TO ENTER THESE IN QUICK SERIES} YOU CAN THEN TURN OFF THE COPIER AND WAIT 5 SECS AND TURN BACK ON IF IT IS JUST A READ ERROR THE CODE SHOULD GO IF NOT YU WILL HAVE TO PERFORM THE LONG WAY ROUND IE TAKE THE THING APART AND CLEAN OFF .........GOOD LUCK a

How to solve this problem sc 302

Hi
I managed to find a list of Ricoh error codes with brief explanations of their causes here:
Ricoh copiers error code messages

This clearly identifies the problem as a laser motor problem - OR
Charge roller, HVT, or fuse FU5 (AFICIO 340, 350 series, 355, 450 series, and 455) - OR
SC-302-01, 02, 03, 04 Charge corona assembly Aficio 550/650
SC-303 Charge corona wire cleaner, disconnected or time out for printer.
All of these sound rather like an engineer requirement but you may be able to something with appropriate spares

Functional Problem SC 302

SC 302 has to do with you charge corona wire.  It's unrelated to the toner spill.  It could be a bad conora wire.  Sometimes it's the power supply.  There could be a lot of troubleshooting and repair to do on this one, you might want to contact a dealer in your area since the have the right tools for the right job.

Error sc 302

From the Ricoh-Lanier Error Code Sheet:
SC302: Charge Corona Output Error 3 - Grid Voltage error - Charger Roller Current Leak.

In English:
I would check the roller motor for a short, frayed, or damaged wires. Use a voltometer and compare the voltage to the cleaner motor.
