Me too when I go to sync it my i pod freezes on the "connects...eject before disconcerting" and it doesn't show up on i tunes!

Turn on the hold button on the ipod, then turn off hold. Immediately hold down MENU and the MIDDLE BUTTON of the click wheel. Continue to hold them down until the ipod resets. If after resetting it still does not show up in itunes then the ipod is dying and needs to be replaced. Is it possible it's still under warranty?
