On the back of the Sony Walkman it lists NWZ-E436F. Will this help?

  • megamajor69 Jun 24, 2009

After i reset it the screen now shows "connected USB (MTB)" instead of just "connected". I want to believe that this is a postive sign. It is a little early to see if the battery indicator reflects success. I may have to try this on my office computer. May I E-mail you tomorrow if I need your further assistance?

I got it to work. Thanks to "EKSE". He was very helpful and now I am in business again!! Thanks Americans!!

Are you able to use the mp3 player? Try reseting the players settings as shown on this page:

Click here to open the instructions

if that doesn't solve the problem follow the steps below to reset the player:

Connect the mp3 player to the computer and press the reset button on the back, see if it starts charging, if not, do you have another computer in the house to try with?

I have connected the USB cable to the computer and the kindle and a battery picture is showing as almost empty and it does not seem to be indicating that it is charging.

Try charging it with another charger with the same USB Plug, such as your Kindle charger. Charging from a computer can take a long time, due to the limited power available from the USB port. This will be the definitive test to ensure the Kindle will charge.

How do you charge the delstar ds 821, & down load music?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Hi, why it's not charging yet ,i think its not yet recognizing the mp3 player yet. You will need to follow the below step and solve the problem.,Then after trying out this steps and still does not work,That means you will need to replace the USB cable...

Hi, when an m3player does not detect on your PC, usually when Drivers that corrupted..
How to rectify the problem:

Connect the mp3 player to the PC
The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery charging or full.

- If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on another computer if one is readily available. Ensure you are connecting directly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub.

- If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show up in as a storage device in an explorer window, then the screen is just not working.

If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

Check under Device Manager

1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage.

2. Click Device Manager on the left pane.

NOTE: MP3 Players can connect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode. Exceptions are mp3 player Connect and mp3 player Express which only use MTP mode. MTP mode is the recommended and default method for mp3 Players when used with Windows OS.

The mp3 player will show up on Device Manager's right pane as:
1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC)
2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode)

If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers.

Refresh the drivers

1. Right-click the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall.

2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.

NOTE: If a device with yellow exclamation point (!) continually appears and disappears, then the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

Good luck......

Hi
Check the Manual
User’s Guide

Hay Don't worry it will work
Note: Some low-power USB ports may not be able to provide enough
charge power. Also note that rechargeable batteries may
eventually need to be replaced as they have limited charge
cycles (which vary with use and settings).

Li-ion Battery
The Sansa e200 MP3 player comes with a replaceable and rechargeable
lithium ion battery. To use the player for the very first time, remember to
fully charge the Li-ion battery. You can charge your Sansa through the USB
port of your computer, a car adapter (not included) USB port, or AC adapter
(not included) USB port.

Please execute the following instructions for charging the battery using
an USB port.
1) Connect the smaller end of the USB cable into an available USB
port on the computer
2) Connect the larger end of the USB cable into the dock connector of
the player
3) The computer must be on for most USB ports to charge your
battery. Your Sansa will show connected and the yellow charging
indicator will appear. The battery level indicator will blink while
charging. You will not be able to play while connected to the
computer USB.
4) To stop recharging, disconnect the cable.
The battery can also be charged using an AC adapter (not included) or
a car adapter (not included) and you will be able to play your device
while charging with one of the adapters. The battery will reach
approximately 70% charge in 2.5 hours and full charge in about 3.5
hours. It is recommended that you fully charge your Sansa e200
before the first use.

Will not take a charge. took two charges prior but has now stopped

I found this online at www.sandisk.com under warranty and manuals link.
I believe they have an excellent Return Authorization system, that if you truly have trouble with your disk player and it's still under warranty, gather your receipts and get on line to get an RMA. I have successfully returned to disc players that were infact faulty (FAT problems) and received two replacement players. Get on it right away. Look at the manaul online too. IT can be very helpful. I've included the Battery info, and the link for the manual at the end.

Charge

Charging the Player
The player needs to be charged before it can be used and every time
the battery gets low. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the
Player. Once fully charged, the Player lasts approximately 8 hours.
To charge the Player:
Remove the USB cover on the Player.
Connect the Player to the PC using the Flash Plug.
The Player will begin charging. The battery indicator should begin
to flash, alternating red and green.
Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will stay red.
Note: If this is the first time the Player is connected, wait until
Windows detects the Player and follow the prompts to install it.
