Kenmore classic bottom freezer refrigeration warm but freezer is cold

I would guess you have just caused a build up of ice to block the air way, which normally takes cold air into the fridge. manually defrost (unplug and wait until the ice goes away) then restart and it should be fine

LG LFC21760ST: In freezer area floor, there is ice build-up. Water is leaking from the back wall where two horizontal openings are (near the center). We've turned off the water for the ice maker but this...

If you shut off the water to the ice maker, the only other cause is a plugged drain hole. Somewhere around the bottom of your freezer there will be a small hole that allows moisture to drain out of the freezer and into a catch pan under the refrigerator. If this hole is plugged with ice then the water has no where to drain but out the door of the freezer and puddling on your floor. The water you see dripping is condensation that has built up in the freezer itself.

To fix this problem, you need to dislodge/remove the ice from the bottom of the freezer and the hole. I have had the best luck using warm water with a turkey baster. Another alternative would be an ice pick or any type of utensil that can be safely used to dislodge the ice from the whole and the bottom of the freezer. I prefer the water method because it is the safest. Ideally what you want to do is force warm water in small quantites down the hole. This will melt the ice and reopen the drainage. You then need to remove any ice around the bottom of the freezer using warm water. When done make sure to dry the bottom of the freezer.

My freezer is working but the fridge is not cooling on my side to side refrigerater. Appreciate your help!

check the damper door located between the freezer and refrige compartments to make sure it opens and closes, sometimes they get an ice build up there and this causes them to stick shut, remove ice with hair dryer or remove and deice and replace this will solve your trouble

Frost buildup inside freezer door at ice dispenser

you are still not getting a seal on that flap. It sounds as if it may be warped. THe reason the frost and ice is building up is due to the flap not sealing there isn't any other reson for your problem. Good luck on your repairs

My refrigerater is cooling well at the bottom in the refrig and freezer but warm up top

sounds like a defrost problem or the freezer fan is stopping at some point, verify if your freezer's iced up if it is suspect a faulty defrost timer/ thermostat if your handy with and voltmeter put it on the continuity or "beeping" function check your defrost element (with power off) you disconnect the wires to the defrost element put one lead of the meter one one end and the other end on the other side.

if it whistles, element's good if it doesn't whistles suspect a bad defrost element replace element/and defrost thermostat

Refrigerator

If the ice build up is only on the back panel of the freezer then you have a defrost problem. Most likely a defrost thermostat or control board/timer. If frost build up is around the walls of the freezer then warm air is getting into the freezer. Most likely cause of this would be gaps in or torn door gasket or door alignment. In some cases the door was left cracked open. If gasket and door alignment is ok remove the frost and see if it comes back.
