If you are standing in front of the TV, look on the right side. There is a door with two screws (phillips) remove the two screws and open the door. Inside you will see a black object with a silver handle and two black screws. remove the screws and pull the lamp straight out by the handle. I you buy a factory bulb, you can just slide it right in. If its an aftermarket bulb, then you have to put it into the housing. Be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb with your bare hands. the oils in your skin will shorten the life of the buld. Just like replacing a vehicles bulb. hope this works for you.

My zenith e44w46 turns on have sound but cant see the picture

Please tell me if you hear any clicking noise while turning on the set. If not tell me what is the status of the stand by/timer light at the front. Does it blink? If yes then how many times does it blink in between each pause. Let me know this info so that we can continue the diagnosis.

I have a zenith e44w46lcd tv, while watching it, it turned off and now will not turn back on again. Green light flashes for a bit then goes back to red. Also lamp light is on orange. Do I need to replace...

More then likely your lamp is faulty, you can replace this lamp urself, but on zenith models the lamp comes as a bulb only, you will have to change the lamp and use your original housing. Also lamp timer will have to be reset. The only reason you might need a repair man is to go into factory mode and reset lamp timer. But if you are mechnically incline you can swap the lamps yourself..

Orange projection lamp on. Picture is a bluish green, no true white.

If you are in warranty contact Lg electronics since they own Zenith. I was having similar difficulties and they are sending me a replacement tv even though I am out of warranty by 3 years.

Lamp indicator blinks red

There is a problem with the lamp or around it? When it turns Orange, the lamp is at or near the end of it's life & needs replacing. What does the temperature indicator show? Orange, Red or Red Flashing? If not, then there is probably accumulated dust around lamp area

ZENITH E44W46 LCD HDTV

Its your light engine failing. It can cause different colored "spots or ovals" to appear in the black background.

My Zenith ( now LG ) E44W46 LCD had the engine replaced after only 10 months, and now 3 years later it is failing again. There is a lawsuit against LG for using defective engine assemblies in this particular model.

After much searching I located this number, 800.243.0000 and called from work this past Monday at 8:15 a.m. central time. I was blown away to actually have someone pick up and direct me to a rep who reassured me that LG was aware and has set up a department to handle claims.

I was issued a case number and told that I will be contacted by a rep from this "department" and they would replace the set. With what I don't know yet but I will post back after I get thier final answer and the details.
