Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop

There is no ink being printed out on the receipts.Need to know if it needs to be replaced or what is the problem?

    I dont even know where the cartridge is located And I'm' in california Ios angeles I dont need someone in ohio, I spoke to the gentleman by the phone and he cant help me he said that ther is no ink on that particular model

I need to know why the receipt is very light when printed


If it is an ink printer, the ink ribbon or roller is probably running out of ink. Buy a new roller or ribbon and try it.
If it is a thermal printer, the paper rolls may be low grade. Try buying thicker high grade paper rolls. If that doesn't work, the print head in the printer probably needs replacing.

THE RECEIPTS ARE ONLY PRINTING HALF-WAY. IT APPEARS AS IF THE INK IS LOW. I TRIED TO CLEAN THE PRINT HEAD BUT THAT DID NOT WORK.


There is no ink in this machine. Try changing the paper. If that doesn't work, then you need to either a)replace the spring that holds the paper cover closed so that the paper is pressed tightly against the print head or b) replace the print head. You can also try using a rubber band to hold the paper cover closed more tightly. If the spring is the problem, a rubber band will do the same thing.

Replaced ink roller, 2nd receipt copy has no imprint. changed tape to newer roll, no difference. is there an adjustment for strike force on the casio PCR 272?


This machine can not use carbon type double copy paper. Only the old metal drum impact printers could use it. As far as I know, there are no longer any registers manufactured in the world that can use it now because the memory in all but the most basic models will permit two receipts to be printed from memory. You have the most basic model, so yours can not do double receipts. If you move up to a thermal printing machine, it should be possible.

Hi I work in a restaurant and we have a Epson TM-U220A Model M188A printer. The last few days the printer has not been printing on the White receipt paper. We've tried replacing the ink and it doesn't do...


If this is the thermal head model, you will need to have the print head replaced. These were also sold under the Dell label, so finding a used replacement printer may be more economical. If it takes ribbons, you will need:

Hi.
I don't have information on this model, but it sounds like it is one of the very low end registers. These machines can not have the printing turned off. They were designed to be journal printers or continuous receipt printers. You need to buy a machine with receipt memory to get this function. (PCR-T series and above)

The check ink tank is an error message based on either:
1.) How many pages have been printed
2.) How many times you have replaced ink tanks
3.) How many hours the Printer has been on.

Most of us understand this is based on a page print counter.

There is usually a method to turn this off using a manufacturer's method taht's leaked out to the tech community. There are a few Canon tricks and I'll post one to you later that may or may not help.

I do want to assist you first and foremost on the payment you believe you were charged by the receipt being issued. This may have been a glitch as this does happen but you need first peace of mind on the billing and then support. As you have posted this 'help ticket' into the Free Forum, I'll also see if we can reset your Canon too.

Can you give me the date on the receipt and an invoice number first?

Receipt too long


According to the printer manual http://www.citizen-systems.com/support/downloads/CD-S500UM5_101.pdf
the length of the receipt is set by your POS software only the width is set in the printer to make sure all the letters fit, or wrap to the next line if needed
There must be some settings in the software that allow headings or other text in what is now a blank space.
Instead of Blanks, there must be an 'off' selection for those items (logo motto operator name etc) and a length for a 'cutoff margin'
