Flexi time delay on sibelius 5

Using brand new toshiba dual core laptop and sibelius 5. flexitime input is completely unusable? What am i missing? i switched off the low latency input and it is still worthless. :(

Errors on install of sibelius:

Luckily, there is a installation assistant that solves this problem! You can visit the help page here, there you can download an install assistant. Once downloaded simply run it and follow the on screen instructions.

Errors on start up of Sibelius:

If you have AVG antivirus, Google Desktop or Adobe acrobat pro installed. Then you can experience start up problems when opening sibelius.

I found that if you download updates for all three programs (or just the ones you have). Then sibelius will start up properly.

I had this problem on an Acer laptop -

I just uninstalled google desktop as i did not need it and updated avg.

In my device manager for toshiba laptop satellite l355d-s7825, it says in the network adapters that all drivers in that catergory is corrupt or missing! Please Help. And also my working computer doesnt...

You will have to use another computer to download the latest drivers from the Toshiba website. Please install these onto your laptop. I would recommend using a USB key to copy them over. -Ravi Shanghavi

Installation problem with Sibelius 5 on Vista

You don't say what the nature of the installation problem is, but you should make sure you are logged into your computer as an Administrator user. You could also try clicking the 'Browse this disc' button in the menu that appears when you insert the DVD-ROM, go into the Windows/Sibelius folder and right-click SibeliusEnglishInstaller.msi in order to choose 'Run as Administrator'.

If you are still having problems, contact Sibelius technical support using the email address and phone numbers provided in the 'Latest information and technical help' sheet in your Sibelius 5 box.

Difference b/w Core to duo and daul core

Core 2 Duo is a Brand name by intel to identify his class of Dual core CPU

a Dual core CPU is basically two CPU in one package, which dramatically improves performance over previous architectures.

Pentium Dual Core is another brand name by Intel to identify his new entry level CPU offer.Basically Pentium dual-core are similar to Core 2 Duos except they(pentiums) are slower and cheaper.
they both are dual core CPUs.
I would prefer a core 2 Duo having to choose a laptop because of better performance, but the prize is different for the two solutions.
