Question about Marshall MXL2003 Professional Microphone
Okay, am I an idiot or is something not working? I plugged my brand new Marshall into my MBox, the MBox into my powered USB hub, the USB hub into my computer, and my headphones into my computer. I'm using ProTools and trying to record a session, but no audio marks go into ProTools and there's no sound on playback. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Hi! you are trying to bite off a bit more than can be chewed at once.
you need to troubleshoot backwards
Step1:- check normal playback. Sometimes the speakers (headphones)are not properly connected or the sound card needs to be ascertained. Just playback anything and eliminate this stage as a potential problem
Step2: We have now ascertained that the playback is not an issue,Now we need to check the USB hub - Computer connectivity. Try to connect someother USB device like a pen drive ascertain that this section is working. If it isnt go to strat - settings -control panel- Administrative services- computer management - Device management - and configure the USB Hub
Step 3: Having ascertained that the USB Hub is indeed wiorking connect MBox to the USB hub and load driver software open page, start- settings-control panel - Administrative services - computer management - device managment and check thet the driver is installed and working properly.
Thats it it should work fine if the above steps have been completed.
