Your monitor does that because of your VGA adapter is sending diferent kinds of resolution and/or refresh rate values.

If its normalize after that, than its OK.

Sory for bad english

1. Push the menu button at the front side of your Dell monitor. The icon looks look like a miniature version of your monitor.

2. Push the menu button again. This will exit the monitor menu and launch the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu.

3. Use the down arrow button on your monitor to select "Factory Reset."

4. Push the menu button.

5. Use the down arrow button to select "All Settings." Press the menu button to save changes.

6. Push the menu button twice to exit from the menu. Your Dell monitor will go back to its factory settings default, and its auto-detect feature will be disabled.

Blinking blue light on my computer mointer, its says no input signal

possibly your video settings have changed since the last time you shut down or rebooted. If you are using a video card and not the onboard video, you may want to switch to the onboard video and see if it comes on. Otherwise, you may have to clear your cmos or bios and reset it back to older settings. Just suggestions, not positive without seeing it.

When i turn on the computer it turn dark and said auto adjusting in progress. You can push the off & on button and the logon screen come on.

This sounds normal. Each time you entergize your monitor when it is connected to a cpu that is powered on, it has to decern what the signal is and adjust its internal logic processor accordingly.

I start up the Dell computer and when I get to the log in screen, the monitor states "auto adjustment in progress" and then shuts down. Where should I go to fix this?

boot the computer into safe mode by pressing F8 as the computer boots up. then in safe mode adjust the resolution and/or refresh rate. then reboot and tweak to your liking.

Dell E196FP TCo99 Monitor screen problems

The screen colour changing is apparently an auto test procedure on the monitor and was prompted by a fault with the monitor not automatically shutting down when the computer is shut down. The settings on the monitor have been adjusted to rectify this and the problem is now gone.
