Question about Delphi 10.2" FLIP DOWN MNTR/DVD (GRAY)-MV10018 Car Video Player
DVD player will play disc. It says "open" and then it says "load a valid disc" and then ejects disc. Disc is also hard to initially load as it "closes" before you can load it. HELP!!
If you are loading a store bought DVD and that it what it say's. The transport needs to be replaced. roughly 150-200. If you are loading "burned" DVD's the format may be wrong and the unit cannot read it. Best suggestion I can give you is to first buy a "Laser Lens Cleaner" on that uses fluid. Any electronics store sells them for 15-20. Run it thru the unit a couple of times then try a clean, store bought DVD. If it plays, problem solved. With your DVD's, if you have any liquid car polish like mother's or meguiars, put a couple drops on the disc and spread around with your finger, let it set a couple then buff off with a microfiber towel. This works wonders for old scratched cd's and dvd's and helps protect new ones from getting scratched. As for the Lens cleaner, run it thru every product you have that uses discs 3 or 4 times a year, it's the best preventative maintance and only maintanance you can do on a CD player DVD or PC. Hope this helps
