Question about Saeco Royal Professional Espresso Machine

10 Answers

Decalcify? The decalcify message has come on the digital display. The manual does not mention decalicify at all. Do I just need to run it through a rinse cycle or a descaling cycle? The model is actually called a Saeco Royal Exclusive Espresso Coffee Machine, SUP015, purchased in 2005.

I have the same thing with my machine. I think it has an automatic descaling cycle but I am not sure whether any chemical has to be put in it, or where I would buy that from?

I have a Saeco Royal Exclusive with same problem. I run through the decalcify program but the decalcify message is still there.

Same solution worked for me. I ran the descaling program. Toggled the "signal descale" to "yes", then back to "no" then back to yes then back to no and the message disappeared.

I had the same problem with a Saeco Royal Digital. I ran the decalcifying liquid through the machine with the automatic descaling program as per the instructions on the bottle and the DECALCIFY message stayed up.
I solved it by going to the menu and selecting "Signal Descal." and toggling it from No to Yes. I escaped back to the menu and git the usual "Select Product".
Hope this helps.

Be really careful if you haven't descaled it since you purchased it.

You pose a real threat of poping a lime deposit that may be sealing a leak on the boiler.

My suggestion is if you've had the machine over 2 years and you haven't descaled it, don't start. Chances are the boiler is already damaged, but functioning because of the lime keeping the system pressurized. It will eventually pop and will need a boiler replacement.

I've had dozens of clients start up the descaling and upkeep of their machines years later and its always ended with me replacing their boiler almost immediately after.

In the menu system there is an option to reset the descale cycle.

On saeco incanto DELUXE you just have to go to menu and factory settings >select yes and problem is solved!
altough i advise to descale from time to time

You need to reset the machine in the programming cycle and indicate decaling reset.that will finalize your decaling cycle.

Decalcify means you need to descale your machine in order to rid your boiler of lime and calcium build up. You can buy it from e.g. Harvey Norman. Saeco actually have their own. The Royal Professional machine has a automatic descale cycle. It will take about 45mins. It's worth nuturing your machine in order for it not to grind to a halt.

My machine also displays decalcify and when I run it through the descaling program (adding the appropriate chemicals), the same message is still displayed. How do I get rid of the message? Is it asking for something other than descaling? I have the Saeco Royal Exclusive.

Why does my machine say decalcify what does it mean

It means you need to run the decalcification program - basically run some solution through the machine and then flush it. Full details are available in the instruction manual.

Gaggia syncrony digital DECALCIFY, I done the prosess but i have the worning about DECALCIFY

You must use the correct tablets for this, gaggia make special decalcifying tablets.
The machine must be cold when running the program.
It takes about an hour to run the solution through the machine.

Can't get rid of the message (decalcify ready to use) can't find my manual

Hi
If you have a digital display, you must enter the menu and scroll to "reset descale", push the enter button again and chose "Yes" and push the menu button again. When you exit or turn off and then back on the message will be gone if you followed these directions.

On the screen it is written decalcifying. How do I fix this?

This is a pretty sophisticated coffee maker.. the manual goes into great detail about set up for entering water hardness and descaling messages. There is a discussion about the decalcifying procedure, but none the mentions a decalcifying message.

You should re-read the manual and possibly re-enter the programming again. The manual is available for free, here. Pay particular attention to sections 15, 16a, 20c and 22. These sections are only a paragraph long, but will help explain the filters, decalcify procedure and decalcification tablets.

Machine is displaying "Decalcify" message; I do not know how to do this

I believe the machine is telling you that it has already ran through the decalcification proceedure, and that it is ready for use.

What does Decalcify mean?

You can download the manual for free. Search for the manual.

If you want to decalcify, then you need to get decalcifying solution. The button with two circles is the decalcify mode. Press that, and the unit will go through it's automatic decalcify. There is a specific procedure to best decalcify superautomatic machines. Please search for that.

After this is done, the decalcify message will not appear. It is on a preset schedule, not an actual measurement of how much scale is in the machine.

Although you don't have to decalcify, it is recommended, especially if you live in an area with hard water.
