Question about HP DeskJet 932c InkJet Printer

Not printing color

My printer (HP DeskJet 932C) has worked just fine and suddenly it stopped printing in color. I tried changing the cartridge running test sheets. It will only print in pink. The black cartridge and prnting work just fine.

    After several years of good service, my 932C printer stopped printing in color. At first, the only color it delivered was a very light magenta. Then, the color stopped completely, and I could print only in black and white (which continues to be excellent, by the way).

    I cleaned the cartridges, to no avail. Then, I replaced both the color cartridge and the black cartridge. Still no improvement. I made sure the printer wasn't set to print "greyscale". I installed the latest driver from HP. Nothing has worked.

    At another website devoted to solving computer problems, I found the solution, and my 932C now prints in color again! The problem: a clogged cartridge. The solution: soak the BOTTOM of the cartridge (not the whole cartridge, just the bottom 3/8 inch or so) in hot water.

    I put a bit of water in a coffee cup and microwaved the water to almost boiling. Then I placed the cartridge in the coffee cup so that the print nozzle was submerged. Presently, gunk came drifting out. I repeated the process several times, withdrawing the cartridge each time and dabbing the nozzle with a paper napkin to test the flow of ink. Eventually, the cartridge produced 3 colors on the napkin. I then patted the cartridge dry and tried it out on the printer. Voila! Color printing again.

Loks like there is a "well" under the "docked" position of the heads (at the right end of the unit, facing it - under the control buttons.) In my unit, ink had built up in this well to the point that some of the mechanical bits were scraping the top of the built-up ink pile. After I carefully removed about two TootsieRoll's-worth of old dried ink with a long scewdriver (using a flashlight to illuminate the area), the color printing seemed to be doing better. Can't tell yet if this has completely resolved the problem, as I have not yet printed enough pages to prove the point...

Even though you print a b/w document... unless you say 'black cartridge only' in your printing preferences, all the colors get used.

Find 'black cartridge only' in your printing preferences, or 'print in greyscale' and then print your document. You must specify this for your printer to know that it must use the black only.

Hello, My HP 932C has suddenly started printing photos in pink. I have tried cleaning all the cartrdge contacts, reinstalling the software, a new cartridge. No change. Any ideas?

Your cartridge may need to be replaced. If your tri-colour cartridge has run out of yellow and cyan and only has red left this could be the cause.

I have a Deskjet 932c and it won't print in color black and white is fine though. I just bought a new cartridge and is still doesn't print color. Is it shot??

I use a small diameter silicone tube tocarefully "prime" stubborn new carts by sucking a drop of ink out ofthe tiny print holes in the printhead part of the cart. Ink can dry at the headand since these carts work by electrical excitation, there needs to be liquidof each color at the holes. Slap a drop of water with your finger on the holesto start easy hesitant ones. Do not get the contacts wet.

will you get to change the print color and by doing that you have look for the ink then when you fing go get ride of and put now one or I get any other way let me thing..

Hpdeskjet932c quit printing yellow & blue

Just try with replacing the color cartridges may be it is dry.

One color does not print

Turn off printer and allow print carriage to park. Unplug printer. Using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol gently clean the interface gold looking ribbon where the ink cartridges plug in. Allow to dry. Test printer with a test sheet. If that doesn't work, replace the control board. It might be just as cost effective to replace.

Hp 932 c prints from the color cartridge only

Was it working and now stopped working ?? If so, could be a faulty black cartridge. Remove the color cartridge and see if the black prints. if a new black cartridge, the strip may need to be removed or remove and reinsert black cartridge.

My printer has an almost full black cartridge but will not print.

Check the ink lines, the printer head might be clogged, If thats not fixing anything then check your printer settings on the computer and remove the color option. Changing it to black and white can somtimes just be from color, not just black.
