Microphone problem with dell inspiron

We are getting the same microphone trouble with Dell inspiron. It is not working with yahoo messenger.

Hey.. Just got solution for this, all you need to do is go to Preferences (Ctrl+Shift+P) and then go to Connection and down below you would find Internet Connection, set it to HIGH-SPEED (T1-LAN) and click on Apply and then Ok. All you have to do now is to EXIT (dont just close it but Exit out of the Messenger) and then launch the Messenger again. You should have the Call setup options under Calling and Devices in Preferences. (Preferences are under the Messenger menu)---Dev
