Question about Toshiba 55H70 55" Rear Projection Television
I have a Toshiba 55H70 55 inch rear projection TV. It has picture which goes away intermittently. Starts out good usually and picture goes bad. Looked at circuit boards, flyback seems fine. Thought it might be loose connection, checked with no success. Read about IC's, is this a common problem and how can I replace this component? I am an electrician with good electronic repair skills, just need to get an idea of what to do.
Sounds like you have a problem in the horizontal or verticle deflection circuits. maybe one of the regulators for those circuits. I would suggest getting the service manual so you are better equipped at diagnosing it. You can purchase the service manual at the following link for 10.99. Plus they will email it out to you quickly if you return to the site and request that they email it instead of mail it to you. Here is their link.
