Your new SIM is password protected. And unless you provide the password, it will not work.
Easiect way out is to ask your service provider to give you a new SIM, Will cost you something depending the country you live in. And will have to follow a procedure to get one. But you will have the same number as before.
Alternatively, you can take a new number.
