I believe what you are looking for is what is known as "GetElementByID".
This is used in JavaScript to allow control over html elements within the page. This can also be used to control back and forth between JavaScript, the Flash movie, and the HTML code.
Here is a website explaining this.

I hope this helps you, good luck!

Microsoft access form problem

In the Design view for your form element (eg textbox), go to the Data Tab. Look at the options for:
Input Mask, Validation Rule and Validation Text. You can use any combination of these to force a user to enter something in the field. If you just want to check that the contents of the element has a non-zero length, then you can write an event (Events tab) to check the length of the values entered. If 0, then throw a message box and re-focus the cursor on the textbox.

How to create Dynamic Lable & TextBox & save their Values in DB.

Best way to do this is to place label and textbox as usual but hide them from the properties.
In the SaveButton Click event, you can set the property for the label and textbox to visible dynamically by code.

Javascript code for generation of textbox on clicking

Kapil, Pretty much just copy and paste that and change the title part in parentheses. Play with the code a little bit and see what you come up with. Be sure to keep backups each time you make a change! Code <html><head><title>(Type a title for your page here)</title>

<script type="text/javascript">
function make_blank()
{
document.form1.type.value ="";
}
</script>

</head>
<body >

<form name=form1 method=post action='test.php'>
<b>Type</b><input type=text name=type value='Enter your user id' onclick="make_blank();">Enter User ID
<input type=submit value=Submit> </form>

</body>
</html>
-------------- Good luck and take care,
Chimpster

Linking Calculated Totals from subforms to the main form.

Hi Raul from your description it is very unclear what you are trying to do. First we need to know what information is on the first form, second unless you are trying to do a subtotal of all orders in the subform there is no real need for you to create a subform. Now if you are trying to create a subtotal form for all records, you will have to set it up in the record source of that subform with group by: 1. Right click on an empty space on the subform 2. Click on properties 3. Choose your table(or query) which is the record source of the main form. 4. Select Payment and items(or what ever you are trying to calculate). 5. Press the group by button 6. In totals instead of group by choose sum. 7. Exit and save 8. Now when you will select the control source you will see "sumofpayment" etc... just select them for each textbox. 9. To create the third text box you will have to use the Expression builder and just do [textbox1]-[textbox2] * for some reason the nz function does not work in this case. I hope that helped you I will be able to give you a better answer if you give me more details... Let me know what happend Good luck Daniel
