I recently had a tech install internet explorer9 on my computer vista 32 bit.it worked for 1 day.now i cant connect to the internet and cant figure out why.appreciate any help please
Open up your web page, even if it doesnt connect, (offline) head across to the left of the page, up the top too and you should see the Tools button. Click on that and a box will open. Go across to Advanced, click on that and go down to where it says Reset. Click on that and that will take IE9 back to the default and will make it usable. Then you can simply change your opening webpage again by retyping whatever page you use to go to (Google or whatever) in the general tab, click apply , ok and then you should be right again. :o)
Try doing a restore to when it last worked then let me know what happend.

WELL if you are trying to INSTALL windows 64bit, it's pretty simple.
You may or may not be required to format your hard drive for this, so be wary, BACKUP all your information that you want to keep onto dvds or another harddrive before doing this.
Ok with that warning out of the way, the simplest way to do this is to simply either take out your hard drive and format it using another computer, or doing it on your computer by selecting my computer, right clicking on your C: and pressing format, and selecting quick format, and letting her rip.
Now, ALL your data will be gone, because you are installing a new operating system. If you do not want to install just vista 64 (if you want to keep your old OS) then do not bother formating and just skip to this step.
You want to load the DVD into the drive and reboot the computer.
Now you should be able to press a button F-something (like F2, F8 or F12) to allow you to choose what to boot from (you may have to go into the BIOS and tell it to boot from the DVD drive first, before the harddrive, which won't hurt your computer at all). Just simply select your dvd drive and windows vista should boot properly. If you don't see a startup screen right away, just try typing setup or windows and pressing enter. Follow the on-screen instruction, and you will have a brand new operating system, which is running on 64bits.
BE SURE that your computer has a processor that is 64 bits before doing this, otherwise it will not work. Any software you use on vista 64 bit needs to be in 64 bit, just like how any software written for 32bit needs to be used on a 32 bit operating system. You can't usually install an Operating system...within an operating system, well, I've never done it personally.
Hope this helps, stay spicy and happy lappying! :)

You have wiped all drivers by formatting and need to go to friends PC / download latest drivers for the exact model laptop from the vendors site and install them.
NB = install mobo driver FIRST.
Best thing about drivers on the net is that they are later than the ones with the laptop from new.
