First of all, check the volume settings in the task bar. If unsucessful, go into the device manager (start, control panel, admin.tools, device manager) and roll back drivers. If you get a message like "no drivers installed" then you will have to visit there web site (sound card manufacturers) and download the driver there.
If that fails download "DRIVER MAX" and this will find the drivers for you.
