Television keeps turning itself on and off. at first it was just during commercials and now it does it continually

This sounds like either the power supply is going or the lamp is over heating and shutting itself down. if the TV goes completely out with no sound, most likely a power supply. if there is still should, then it might just be a lamp

Tv no picture makes sound like cricket three times, green light on then shuts down and lamp light comes on, most of the time but sometimes just shuts down completely

lamp light flashing? possibly going out and needs replacing. google search the model number and lamp replacement, you might get lucky and find a replacement. around $250.

Sony KDF-E50A10 50 in. HDTV LCD Television has a ringing sound like a cellular phone whenever the TV is turned on. I have isolated it to near the projector. I have taken out the projector and it still...

There are more than 1 fan in the set; however, the last one to turn off is the lamp fan. The lamp fan keeps your lamp cool and helps extend the life of your projection bulb.

You could either replace the fan, or remove the fan from the set and give it a good cleaning (that's all it might need). However, be aware, fans that go bad in these sets will start to shut down your tv and decrease the life of your lamp. Be on the lookout for intermittent or sudden shutdowns, as those can definitely indicate a bad fan.

yes lamp issue. get the replacement lamp from reputable service or resale shop. get the lamp with housing. its alot easier to replace. clean the inside before putting in lamp with vacum. DONT BLOW AIR IN! you could damage color wheel. vacum out the fan also. lamps are about 250 US
