CLX-3160FN askes for replace TRansport belt, is it a

transfer belt (and other consumables) will reset follow this procedure:

1. go in diagnose mode:
menu - # - 1934 - menu
2. in tech mode -consumables counter - transfer belt -reset
3. after 20 sec. power off and power on
When transfer belt count 60.000 image need to reset.

If this not help try this:
1.MENU # 1934 MENU
2.Tech Mode (not User Mode)
3.DataSetup
4.Clear All Memory

There are two major counters in this samsung CLP300 color laser printer.


I will give you the answers for both.


The standard one is the page printed counter.
You can not change that
The only way is to change the system board or get an used printer
(AS LOW AS $80 now!) and swap it.

The other set of counters are the toner counters.

You can pick up the whole 4 chips set to reset the data to the printer for under $10.

Please post more information on what you like to reset.

Take out the Imaging unit ,transfer belt and fix it properly.
Also take care that you will keep the printer on even surface.

IF nothing is solving the problem then you need to replace the transfer belt as a final solution.

I got a way to reset the transfer belt counter:
Just press Meny.button, then #{4-digit-password-number}# and follow this path:
Techmode - DataSetup - Clear counts - Transfer belt Passord={4-digit-password-number}

The brackets should not be entered, only 4 digit.

take drum out,carefully pull transfer belt which sit on top of drum.see how it is install remove and slide new one in.

Rather than turn printer off, unplug from power source, wait a few minutes and plug back in. It's worked twice for me so far...

Transfer belt error, this is cause by the OPC drum which connects the belt. Make sure the drum sit well with the belt else replaced the drum.
