Touch screen not responding.
My touch screen stopped responding but I could still use the arrow keys and wheel. That was before I did a hard reset and now I can't get past the "align screen" feature being as though I can't tap the screen and get a response.. Do you know what I can do to solve this problem? Im using the Cingular 8525.

Any chance you are using screen protectors and that the edge may have shifted under the case? If yes you have what I call a wedgie and it's causing a phantom tap in a non-accessible area. Remove screen protector.
Any chance there is some dirt/detritus wedged just under the edge of the case pressing on the digitizer? Fold the corner of a piece of copier paper to form a scoop and go around the perimeter of the screen no more than 2.5mm under the case to dislodge (not push in) anything stuck there. This method solved this same problem on my HTC phone

ma touch screen just doesnt respond. though it releases atimes with so much difficulty. cant enjoy my dell axim anymore.

Screen does not respond - at first just couldn't write or edit but could get the abc/#s screen to come up and work from there. Now screen doesn't respond at all. Have tried reset couple of times without success.

Tried soft reboot several times with no luck. Finally tried a hard reboot and now have the screen asking to touch for alignment. Since the screen doesn't respond to touch commands, I am stuck.

My LG Viewty tocuh screen stops responding when i step out of air conditioned office or home, in the open enviornment such as Mumbai where you have high humidity it literaly stops working !!

I have the same problem, but my i-mate pda is only 4 days old. It was working fine, but now the screen does not respond. I tried the full reset, but now I am stuck on the initial set up screen. Can anyone please provide the solution to this problem. Thanks

My touch screen works for a couple minutes, then stops responding. I open the phone and it will work for a couple minutes, then it will stop responding. hard reset and soft reset do not resolve the issue. my phone is MDA vario II

Have exactly the same problem with a
i-mate JASJAR Smartphone.
Searching for a software solution because changing the touch screen would cost too much and would be quite delicate (i dismanteled the pda and the touch screen and his connectors seem glued to the lcd, so it meens unglued the defected one).

Touchscreen of Acer n300 sometimes works for a few minutes, then it stops functioning although arrow keys are working. Resetting does noet help. Only after one or more days the screen functiosn again for several minutes.
