Problem for DISH Network 311 DTV Receiver

My dish network receiver turns on for a few seconds and then turns off. I have unplugged it, plugged it into another socket, reset it from front button, and removed the card, all to NO avail. This is the third box we have had, and its not something with our house, cause we've moved it around to make sure. Its hooked up to a new tv and dvd system, so its not because of faulty equipment. I dont want to lose all of the shows I've saved, what can I do???

It's best to troubleshoot with a technician over the phone to actually try things, but it does sound like this receiver is no good. If that's the case and it's leased, you can contact Dish Network and get a replacement at no cost, just pay for the shipping (unless you have Dish Home Protection Plan - then it's free).
