In LG w1943sb monitor, screw is not used. .In this type 'press-lock' of cover is used. Did you have opened IR remote control, most remote control also used as this monitor's lock, and you can open with a flat screw driver.

You need to remove the base, and the 3 screws on the bottom...after that use a flat head screw driver to pry the edges up, it may take something to hold the corner sections elevated so you can get around the entire frame of the monitor. Doing this will bring out the screen and the power board/processor areas of the monitor. Make sure you lay the screen flat with nothing under it so that it will not be damaged in the process...LCD screens do respond well to being placed on your knee or having excess screwdrivers laying under them :)

1: open youtube.com and search "lg vu themes"
2: open another with lg-vu.com

use the youtube tutorial with lg-vu.com and just follow EXACTLY.

some things are not explained, like instead of his first download you need the 32 or 64 bit usb modem driver

also you MUST buy a USB data cable, afterwards just follow along and i hope this helps you. You should finally be able to sync and skin/theme etc....LG has failed its large spending customers again

there is a lock system to this monitor put crt front portion on table take a smallest screwdriver insert it into the narrow gap and pull the cover upperside it will open there are two gaps anyone you can try

may be it does not support vista

the software needs to be updated

lg k500e is not compatible with vista as most things at the moment unfortunatly
