There are multiple reasons why you cannot update the phone. Are you on original software or did you debrand it? Either way, the phone does reset itself sometimes, it's a common problem that SE still has to fix unfortunately. It happens more often if you multi-task on the phone, e.g. listening music and running GPS or browse the web at the same time.
First install PC suite for sony erricson W760i. You can get it from sony ericsson website. After installing, you can then transfer your video clip to your handset.
(i have same phone) i think i just asked the place i bought it to set it up for me i would just go to a phone shop (depending on the type (3, optes, telstra)) and just ask them to unlock it
This is a known design flaw with the w760i - it occurs when the phone requests info from the SIM (building contact list etc.) and the SIM connection is lost. This would happen on any phone but the w760i has a shock protection design issue whereby closing the slide quickly causes the SIM to disconnect. You should be able to replicate the issue by turning the phone on and slamming the slider shut as soon as the phone shows your network name. Leave the phone on for a bit and you will feel the phone buzz and 'Inactive SIM' will display, the phone will then reboot.
