Kenmore Dryer won't heat up

I have replaced the heating elements on my Kenmore Series 70 dryer (10 - 15 years old). However, the dryer still does not heat up. Is it the thermal fuse or the thermostate?

Thermal fuse is bad. replace fuse. clean out vent duct. thermal fuse usually blows when there is restricted air flow over heating element.

SOURCE: electric dryer won"t heat. Kenmore Heavy Duty 70

are you getting power down to the heater?why did you change all those other parts?you need to unplug the dryer, with a meter read out all the parts you changed out again but first make sure you have 240 volts coming to the machine, you can check it at the cord in the back, touch the white to the red,you should have 110 volts or 120,then go from the white to the black and you should have the same thing,if not the problem is in the house,if it's correct make sure you have power coming down to the heater, you could have a bad timer or a burnt wire, when you check the other parts unplug the dryer and whatever part you check at least one wire has to be removed,do this and you'll find your problem,if you did this first you wouldn't of bought all those parts.let me know what you find

Kenmore Gas Dryer does not dry clothes.

If this is the electric version then after 15 years you probably need a new heating element, they are not difficult to install and are not terribly expensive as a DIY project.

Why won't my dryer heat up?

There are several reasons for no heating on a Tumble Dryer. The heating element could be faulty ( open circuit.) There are several thermal cut outs which can also go open circuit The only way to check is with a Multi Meter by a qualified service engineer.

Kenmore series 70 dryer will not heat up replaced heating element thermostats check ok with ohm meter

If heating element was replaced and still no heat, Then what I would do is test the voltage current in the wiring and see if there is actually power to the element.

All parts to make dryer heat are:
heating element
thermal fuse
thermostat
timer

any one of these units can be faulty
