I always leave my computer on because when I turn it off it can take up to 10 minutes. When I press the front power button, it should turn blue, but it stays unlit. The fan turns on and runs continuously. The monitor displays the Gateway logo. I then 'play with it' by continuously pressing the front power button on and off. If I am lucky, the button will eventually turn blue and the computer is fine. The last time it took over ten minutes of turning the button on and off before it worked.
My motherboard was replaced twice by the gateway people. Luckily I bought it at costco and it has a two year warranty through them because gateway didn't want to deal with me until costco techies made them. I have the same model and had the same problem
I have the same problem, only when the piece of dookie finally turns on (blue light), it is in "safe mode". How much is a mother f'kr board?
Hi,
I would not keep pressing the on/off button. You should have your computer checked out. It could be your power supply. They are easy to replace, but if unsure of how to do this find someone to help you.
